Technology Procurement and Contracts – How, Where, and Why
Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology is supporting a cross departmental effort (Commerce, Finance, Integrity, Law, Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics and Procurement) to make it easier for small and midsize firms, especially technology firms, to know about and apply for City contracts as well as to encourage City departments to try more experimental pilot projects.
This event will describe how to find City contracting opportunities and offer guidance on applying for them. We will also seek advice from attendees on ways to improve outreach and the procurement process more broadly. Philadelphia’s Commerce Department will be on hand to describe StartUp Phl and the resources if offers to help entrepreneurs and firms grow.
Who should attend: The event will be particularly useful for individuals and firms interested in contract opportunities with the City, or other types of support from the City, and citizens interested in open government and transparency, but all are welcome.
RSVP to Todd Baylson with name and organization (if any)
