Trash your Flash Drive! (Village of Arts and Humanities)
Finally, the basics of using cloud storage! Flash drives are becoming a thing of the past, and quite frankly, they are more of a liability than an asset. To keep valuable files on a device that can easily be misplaced, broken or corrupted seems senseless in today’s world. This risk can be avoided by using any of the free cloud storage services available on the web. In the workshop, attendees will register for a cloud storage account and learn how easy it is to keep all their files in one place, eliminating the need for a USB flash drive.
A trash can will be provided!
This event is free and open to the public. For more information visit http://libwww.freelibrary.org/hotspots/index.cfm.
DISCLAIMER
No flash drives will be harmed, "trashed", or otherwise improperly disposed of during the course of this event. Thanks to @Famicoman and @AKKuhn for their contributions to a Twitter discussion about e-waste, cloud services, data, and technology access.
